That's really disappointing and it's even not legal. DUE A COVID RESTRICTION YOU HAVE TO REFUND ALL THE BOOKING MONEY. In March 2022 I had unpaid guests from the Homestay website - Homestay and guest did not transfer the payment for the accomodation to me.
We had a prompt response even though it was such short notice and great communication following. We stayed at Dragonwood, a boathouse by the lake. It was a wonderful place and we had a lovely time.

Will never book with this company again after the appalling service and certainly will not recommend to anyone either, infact I will be telling people to avoid, avoid, avoid. Oh, plus we're a thousand pounds out of pocket for the experience. I’ve stayed with Unique Home Stays a number of times and every stay has been fantastic!

Easy process
Was looked after by Kelly at Unique Homestays and she couldn’t have done a better job. Was very helpful right through the process. The Glasshouse itself is stunning, it has everything you need and want. We're delighted you would recommend staying at this property and we hope we can welcome you to your third homestay with us soon.
We’re disappointed that you didn’t bring any of the other issues to our attention before your most recent booking, as we would have certainly been happy to look into these further for you. On the whole I understand your feedback was otherwise quite positive, enough so that you would continue to book your holidays with us. We don’t currently take bookings over ten years in advance as per your email, however you are right in saying that guests are able to cancel at any point should they no longer be able to stay.
I will be booking with unique homestays again and again
So we booked the dream holiday in February and paid in full. We were to go from June 14th - 21st to Cornwall. Yesterday they cancelled our holiday with three weeks to go. It took me three calls to find out they'd failed a fire risk assessment. They did offer to find us something else, but I was too angry to accept their offer. One of those companies which is quick to take your cash and very much slower to provide the service to back it up.
We also always welcome guest comments and encourage owners to provide a guest book so feedback or any breakages can be noted down. The feedback we received from the guests who arrived after your departure was extremely positive. In response to the extreme weather, the owner had arranged for someone to visit daily to check the pool conditions during the heatwave. As you mentioned in your review, we always ask guests to inform us should there be any elements of a stay that are less than perfect. Had ourselves or the owner been made aware of this at the start of your holiday, we certainly would have done all we could to try and rectify the issue.
Excellent customer relations
This was followed up by e mail almost immediately and then Sophie who was our contact whilst at the house and who also provided a telephone number for in in-house massages. Thank you so much for your kind review and we are so glad that you had a lovely getaway with us. If you notice anything at all wrong with the property, take time stamped picture or even call them the whole trip, as they expected of me. Some of the damage that I saw on arrival didn't look like new damage, and I didn't even think it would be something I would be expected to report such as cracks on furniture. I can't believe that I would then end up being charged for a home renovation for the owner. I am now in the middle of seeking legal advise after being told that my deposit was put on hold and I have been charged for damage that was all existing at the property on my arrival.
Being amongst nature and all it´s beauty is an innate and natural desire that we all commonly share. Juneberry blends nature with comfort to create an enchanting yet homely stay. Hearing the birds chirp and the trees blow each morning is a wake up call like no other and we have thoroughly enjoyed being able to experience it. The house and grounds were just stunning. We felt very comfortable during our stay.

Beautiful views on the most southern tip of the country, fantastic cliff walks with great restaurants nearby. If you are looking for a relaxing experience in a superb house and location in the UK, I recommend you try this. We made some lovely family memories at the Signal Station and I'll be booking again. I have booked with this company several times and each time there has been a horrendous problem.
